The Patrons
I've been making art for the two gals in the middle since 2016. I first met Donna (pretty in pink) at a Crossfit class a couple years before, and we struck up a friendship. It would be really hard not to befriend Donna, by the way, because she is one of the most joyful, nurturing, encouraging, and fun people in the world to be around. And her daughter, Mary Potts (bridal beauty) is like her. This is one fabulous mother-daughter duo and their friendship is one of most beautiful I've experienced. I'm so thankful they have continually invited me into their lives and allowed me to make artwork that commemorates their most treasured moments - going off to college, sorority initiations, new (and old) puppies, Mardi Gras celebrations, first home purchases, and most recently, Mary Potts' engagement and wedding.
But before I move on to talk about the art I got to make for Mary Potts' wedding, I want to say thank you to both her and Donna for championing me and supporting my small business throughout the years. Y'all have faithfully shown up for me in every stage of my creative journey, and I am so honored to be asked to make art for you again and again. I love you both!
The Crest
We met at a local coffee shop to talk wedding artwork, and it was decided that a custom crest inspired by Potts' wedding colors and florals would be the focal point of her save-the-dates, invitations, and day-of-wedding details. This crest needed to be gorgeous, but it also needed to be multifunctional.
The original work was hand drawn and created in watercolor on paper, but it was scanned and turned into a variety of digital files so that it could be reproduced on desired wedding items like save-the-dates and envelope liners.

Save the Dates designed using the digital version of the crest
I also created and digitized a line drawing of the crest so that the crest could be used for single-color, more simplified print jobs like the wedding invitation, koozies, and more.
And MORE...
I want to give a special shout-out here to Ellen Talbot of Ellen Talbot Imaging who so beautifully captured the "and more" of what a custom crest commission & digital design package can offer brides as they plan for and visualize their wedding day.
Pictured below are the save-the-dates, envelope liners, programs, and invitations I designed for Mary Potts' big day. But also pictured below - thanks to Ellen Talbot - are what she was able to have made with the digital crest designs:
Like these coasters...
Or these koozies...
These fabulous custom Golden Goose sneakers!
And the awesome signage for the band stand and dance floor area.
Custom details featuring their crest were EVERYWHERE on Mary Potts and Michael's wedding day! Not to mention that the framed original watercolor hanging in their home will serve as a constant reminder of every unforgettable moment.
I really enjoyed creating a beautiful, versatile, sentimental piece of artwork for the newly married Wilsons. And I would love to do the same for you!
Creatively Yours,
