Pansies recreated in acrylic paint, acrylic paint markers & oil pastels on canvas set in a gilded deep cradle box frame. Both the exterior and interior of the frame have been hand painted in contrasting blue-violet hues to accentuate and complement the central artwork. 

Pansies are some of the most interesting and resilient flowers. They are small, velvety and seemingly delicate. Yet, they can withstand frigid temperatures and snow fall. In the winter months, when most other plant life is brown or dormant, pansies are full of life and display vibrant colors.
